Maze Town MeiPAM

It's said that the town was built with a maze of winding alleyways to protect against pirates who operated in the Seto Inland Sea during the Middle Ages, and to prepare for the wars of the Northern and Southern Courts period. Historically, it flourished as a gateway for maritime trade and the religious pilgrimage of the "Ohenro" (pilgrimage). It's a mysterious town, and even longtime island residents can easily get lost in the darkness of night.
